Early days for Strauss, although he’s inherited a problem that was partly his own making.. The hint of a recall given to KP from one of the ECB hierarchy and the subsequent closing of the door by Strauss does not bode well.. The ECB need to get the right hand talking to the left hand pretty quickly otherwise they stock will be even lower than it currently is.. I’m not sure what is below laughing.
Its clear KP is a knob, but a very talented knob that entertains and wins games for England. From long before the textgate scandal it seems that the England management team/ECB haven’t got a clue how to handle a character like KP… or the other characters in the team for that matter. It is there job to ‘manage’ the team to get the best out of the team and talents to win games for England. They seem to not want to, or cannot deal with, players don’t fit into a certain type, a reason the current England squad is made up of so many programmable clones. Another massive fail on the part of the ECB, not only in their handling of KP but also in the latest debacle.
Can’t help wonder how the ECB would handle a character like Warner? Do you think he would be scratching around for runs on a damp day in Hove on the back of a false promise as well…
