Gawd. We really aren't very good at this are we.
Strangely we were more-or-less neck and neck with the Hampshire innings right up until the 15 over mark, but whereas they exploded at that point, we fizzled out. We can't seem to put partnerships together in this. So many of our shots only bring 1, it seems our players don't have the improvisational skills to beat the fielders. 30 as a margin of defeat is actually flattering to us. Harmer's blitz at the end, when the match was already over, was reminiscent of his whirlwind 50 last year, also when the match was already over. Perhaps he needs to bat higher up and give himself a chance of doing it when it matters? Or why not try Snater up the order? I've been wondering for ages why they never give that a go. Might not come off but jeez, they have to try something.
