550+ is daunting but I wouldn't be too damning on the England bowlers, they are coming into a Test without much time to acclimatise to the searing heat and having to bowl on a batsman's paradise. Maybe a leggie would have been better than Bashir, though. Maybe Little Chef is sitting at home thinking he's dodged a bullet. There a quite a few bowlers who took 0 for plenty in their debut Test and were never seen on Test duty again.

Perhaps I'm biased but Critchley is by far the best leg spinner I've seen this season- certainly better than Parkinson or the kid from Leicester with the added bonus of his batting and fielding. That said of course he'll never play for England obviously.
