The Super Saar soap powder test series, is it Omo, Daz , Persil, Surf or Bold ?
Oh, and a long day in the field for England.

Good job they didn?t take any ?trundlers? like Cook and Porter. Seriously, they?ve dodged a bullet here. Being ?realistic?.

Come on now, Carse had to play after his magnificent season for Durham when he took 4 wickets in 4 matches at an average of 106 with an economy rate of 4.37 and don't forget the difference Josh Hull would have made to this attack.  It's not McCullums fault he's injured.  His bowling would have made a huge impact on here for sure.  2 wickets in 3 matches at an average of 182.50 with an economy rate of 5.36 shows that.

I thought the England bowlers stuck at it well. There's been so little preparation for this series so soon after a cold English "summer". Shoaib came back well after a difficult first session and Leach kept things quiet as well as picking up a sharp caught and bowled. Carse bowled with pace and could have been in the wickets, although he looked understandably knackered at the end. Atkinson was probably the pick of the bowlers.

England are still in this.

I'll have a cheeky bet with you that they aren't.

I would take that bet with you. Never ever underestimate the ability of Pakistan to totally meltdown in the blink of an eye.

I fear that to lose it from here is beyond even Pakistan. Get your heads down and go for a draw lads.

550+ is daunting but I wouldn't be too damning on the England bowlers, they are coming into a Test without much time to acclimatise to the searing heat  and having to bowl on a batsman's paradise. Maybe a leggie would have been better than Bashir, though.
Maybe Little Chef is sitting at home thinking he's dodged a bullet. There a quite a few bowlers who took 0 for plenty in their debut Test and were never seen on Test duty again.

Parkinson (K*nt) would have been a better option.

He's certainly had a lot of experience this season of playing in a bowling attack that conceeds 550+ regularly.

Perhaps I'm biased but Critchley is by far the best leg spinner I've seen this season- certainly better than Parkinson or the kid from Leicester with the added bonus of his batting and fielding. That said of course he'll never play for England obviously.
