My son knew for whom he was looking. He lives abroad, so can't .....,. couldn't ..... come with me more than once or twice a year. I miss my Essex cricket. There's an atmosphere than you can't get on-line.
Whereabouts do you live?

When thinking about offering lifts, a cautionary message.

County cricket attracts a few oddballs, beware.

I would say that there is always one. However, there are more than one in practice.

Reminds me of the ?joke?:
Chap saw someone thumbing a lift so, feeling generous, stopped.
Where he was going suited the hitchhiker so off they went,
After a bit the hitchhiker said ?how do you feel about me being a murdering psychopath??
To which the driver answered ?What are the chances of having two in the same car??

There was news today of former committee member and possibly still a life member. Sir Alan Hazlehurst passing away. He wrote one book and possibly more about Essex cricket.
