HonkyTonk, I'd probably go for the same XI.
Yesterday I'd have picked Moeen over Bess, but I think Mo's mind will be on the plane.
If it REALLY looks seamer friendly I suppose picking Woakes or Curran over Bess is a possibility.
Doesn't look world beating does it?
More or less was good enough for the first test though!!!
The batting in general is a young unit with Sibley, Burns, Lawrence, Crawley and Pope. Some good players there and some that will be looking over their shoulder at Bracey/Lammondby. Fast bowling is fine. Spinners are a worry but we have no "Experienced" spinner available to come in. The spinners are very much learning their game in internationals, which is fine for me. If they do not play they do not get the experience. We have a decent core of young spinners - Leach, Bess, Crane, Parkinson, Moriaty, Viridi. All at different stages of development but none the finished article yet in terms of internationals. Its one reason I would keep Moeen away from the test side now, blood the youngsters. Id like to think that some of the batters mentioned and the spinners playing will learn a hell of a lot playing against India this winter
