Wagg  though can be very dangerous. Maybe Quinn bowling too many length balls.

Once again, Glamorgan have slipped the leash, and will be a good victory, even though irrelevant now.

Well at least we put up a fight today but the batting is still all wrong - Walter too high, Bopara too low, Siddle could have been in ahead of Pepper given the situation.

And as Paul Newton said on the commentary, all bar one batsman holed out - don’t they look at the field??

Twice now we've let a poor Glamorgan side off the hook with our death bowling when they were 7 and 8 down.

This is the worst season ten Doeschate has had with us so why has he been promoted to number 4?  surely Bopara should be batting there, which is where he's batted for most of his time here.

No. Until very recently Bopara's batting has been too slow.

Yes, but when I've seen him he always looks like a pretty attacking bowler. I suspect he'll usually go for a few but will get wickets. Not convinced he's a t20 man, but whether he's any worse than most of our other seamers in T20, at least in this year's form, is a mott point

Quinn went for 26 off his last over I believe, Ingram only just failed to get his customary ton v Essex in white ball games. Still very disappointing to lose home & away, realistically bottom place beckons us & likely no more victories, certainly our worst campaign ever & only Northants stopping us being the worst in the country. At least Chopra yet again got runs in T20 - good job he did!

He didn't.  He got some wickets, mainly with dross, and there was a huge difference between him and Quinn and Coles in that match.

I still think he should have bowled in this competition though.  A left armer would have been useful now Wagners left.

I've always felt that, in one day cricket, one of your bowlers will go for a few.  Therefore, it's always useful to flitch a couple of overs here and there from a part timer or supporting bowler. In T20, this seems to be even more the case where holding back a struggling front line bowler for one over can make a huge difference.

He didn't.  He got some wickets, mainly with dross, and there was a huge difference between him and Quinn and Coles in that match.

I still think he should have bowled in this competition though.  A left armer would have been useful now Wagners left.

I didn't see Walter bowl in the first innings against the Indians but in the second, he bowled a few good balls but a lot of dross, mainly legside, at an unthreatening medium pace.  I saw him bowl a lot better last year, however. I always like a left-arm seamer in an attack for variety, the change of angle often seems to cause batsmen issues,

In the same innings, Coles and Quinn both bowled with some real zip and troubled the batsmen, I thought both were unlucky not to get another wicket. Maybe some home for next season there, if both can stay fit?

Agree with above, Walter got wickets v India but far too many deliveries on leg stump or down leg side, he only threatened when pitching on the off side ie slanting the ball across the batsmen. I read somewhere on here a while back that he has been told to bowl at a reduced pace & concentrate on accuracy, maybe he should at whatever speed he is best at & most comfortable with. also his body language needs to improve as he gave the impression it was all too much for him in admittedly hot conditions. FWIW I really think he can make it but a lot of hard work beckons.

If that’s the case who gave him that suggestion??  Who is our bowling coach now??
