Why does Walter not bowl ?
He bowled well v India. Surprised he did not even get an over.
He didn't. He got some wickets, mainly with dross, and there was a huge difference between him and Quinn and Coles in that match.
I still think he should have bowled in this competition though. A left armer would have been useful now Wagners left.
I didn't see Walter bowl in the first innings against the Indians but in the second, he bowled a few good balls but a lot of dross, mainly legside, at an unthreatening medium pace. I saw him bowl a lot better last year, however. I always like a left-arm seamer in an attack for variety, the change of angle often seems to cause batsmen issues,
In the same innings, Coles and Quinn both bowled with some real zip and troubled the batsmen, I thought both were unlucky not to get another wicket. Maybe some home for next season there, if both can stay fit?
