Committee Elections
« on: November 15, 2015, 09:17:51 AM »
Can I remaind everyone that we’re coming up to the time when the Committee elections take place. Nominations should, IIRC, be in by the end of January. Darren, are you standing again this year?

Nominations, properly proposed and seconded to the CEO in writing.

I stand to be corrected, but I THINK it’s one full meeting per month, plus sub-committee work. The full commitee meets at 5pm, I think, but I’mn not sure what night. No idea about sub-committees.

There was a discussion on the old board about it; maybe someone’s got a better memory or a note about it. Darren presumably knows, since he’s stood once.

I did stand a couple of years back, but the process gave no detail (do I sense a theme here!) of exactly what was entailed with going on the committee. I will stand again, because, to me, the only way to effect change is to be actively involved at the club. If I hear more, I will post it here.

Many thanks, I'll need all the support I can get if I am to break the mould of the committee. And I promise to remain on this forum and be a conduit for everyone's views, should I get elected.
