Kinda ironic, bought into the side for his ability to bowl at the death, in a game that won't go that far. Guess it won't sink in this his left until the start of next season.

Well we are not going to actually miss him in the CC as he has barely played his year and the bowlers have done an admirable job in his absence. However, he will be a loss in the one day formats which has proven to be his fortè hence his call up.

Kind of ironic too that his significant contribution so far has been with the bat.

Then again if he does well and impresses the selectors he won't play a lot of county cricket anyway.

This is true. I for one certainly wouldn't put any money on Topley playing 100 Championship matches for Hampshire.

The same can be said for Mills. Many were very disappointed to see him leave but he has featured minimally for Sussex and at the moment is proving to be no loss at all.

Could well be, only 53 this year.
