Another sell-out at the Fortress. Same 11 as last game no doubt.

Think if we win this that's pretty much top 4 confirmed. Also as Surrey are 3rd would be hard to miss out on top 2 and a guaranteed home QF with a victory

Tough game. Roy is on fire. But then there is Dernbach to balance things up.

Yes when Dernbach plays its like playing 10-men! See Surrey are at home to Kent tonight on Sky

Friday looks to be quite a game as Sorry have won 6 of last 7 games in all competitions, interesting to see what happens at the toss as both like to insert the opposition, looking forward to it & expecting a high scoring game. A win for us would almost seal qualification.

Yes Surrey beat Kent tonight and have overtaken Hampshire with a game in hand. Hampshire have Kent on Friday

Essex  P. 8 PTS. 14
Surrey P. 8 PTS. 12
Hants  P. 9 PTS. 12

He hasn't played in Surrey's last two T20 matches due to a hamstring injury.

looking at the odds to win the T20 Blast outright, the bookies have us and Surrey as pretty much joint favourites with Hampshire just behind. Essex are around 4/1 to win it

That's rubbish. Hants are a very good team, much better than Essex.

The league table may disagree as we are 2 points ahead of them with a game in hand. They have lost 3 games so hardly unstoppable

In all fairness Essex and Surrey are 4/1 and Hants 5/1 so not alot in it. Have a flutter although the bookies always win overall!

Surrey have got to 2nd place with minimal contributions from KP. Eventually he will have a match changing innings. But not this week, ideally.

Hants tend to win the games that matter.

Essex don't.

from what i remember Hants also lost their semi-final match last year :)

In the league format over the 14 games the best 4 teams will finish top without a doubt, once it goes down to knockout anyone can beat anyone on a one-off game. Essex, Hants and Surrey will certainly be 3 of the 4 teams from our group to qualify. All 3 were in the semis last year but were done over by Northants of all teams. Northants will struggle to qualify this year

I did say tend.

Whereas Essex always falling at the final hurdle is a trend.
