Thoughts for the T20 campaign 2026.

I would say a positive campaign. It wasn't great, but better than last few years and offers hope for the future.

Allison and Benkenstein look like they have really good futures and Thain should develop into a useful player in this format.

7/10 for me.

Agreed! Significant improvement on 2025 (couldn't of got worse tho).

Harmer's captaincy and personal performance with both bat (particularly) and ball much better.

Losing Cook and Cox for most of the campaign and Mulder for the second half had a major impact for a club with a small budget/squad.

Pepper a disappointment for me. With the exception of the Surrey game went missing with the bat.

As many posters have said, Essex do not prioritise T20 cricket, so all things considered getting to the final eight was a good effort.
