The Grumbler who, when BBC Essex read out his missives. Which are about nothing worth grumbling about. Shows, by standing for the committee, that he is so far up the behind of Essex CCC. That anyone following him, will only see the soles of his shoes.

'The three members elected to the Club Board in alphabetical order are; Jason Gallian, Jamas Hodivala KC and Daren Mootoo.

The member elected to the Members? Committee is Michael Curtis.'

'Following the Annual General Meeting held at the Ambassador Cruise Line Ground on Monday 20 July, Jason Gallian informed the Board that he would be standing down as Chair, but would continue his role on the Board and in his role as Chair of Cricket.'

You paint quite the picture. Enjoy your 15 minutes of 'fame' before the mods come calling.

Darren Mootoo was elected on to the board, congratulations to him, but Richard Clarke, ? The Grumbler ? did not .
Thats all I know to date, gleamed from other scources .

Good on both counts. Darren is a top bloke, knows about the game and what needs doing to improve the club from both sides. The other chap, well there are plenty of yes men who just want a position already in the woodwork at the club.

Dear oh, dear. Are you having a bad day? Clearly you have not read any of my stuff.

Anyway, how about meeting at Chelmsford on a gameday to discuss? Always better to come out from behind the keyboard

I would say, meet in the River Stand. However, that is no longer possible. For the reasons of security downstairs. Which is the most feeble excuse ever.

Now, this and also the left-hand bit of Tom Pearce Stand, being taken out of use. Is something worth grumbling about.

The ground is big enough. Just let me know where you want to meet.

Thanks

As has been mentioned elsewhere. The ground is not big enough. I am not attending, the glorified 2nd XI tournament, called the One Day Cup. I may not be able to attend the Championship game, at the end of August. Due to health reasons. My teeth itch.
