Killeen in the squad for what I think is the first time:

Harmer, Akhter, Allison, Benkenstein, Bennett, Cox, Critchley, Das, Fernandes, Jones, Killeen, Pepper, Snater, Walter

They are saving Das for the One Day Cup. Where he cannot do too much damage.

Killen has taken 3 wickets in 8 appearances  for Essex seconds. Jones took 5-49 in just one innings and smashed a quick half century against Sussex in T20, where Mills went for plenty. Jones for me before Killeen.

They may play neither.  Don't see Killeen or Das playing so I guess It will be between Jones or Fernandes for the last place.  If Fernandes plays they still have 6 bowlers plus Walter.  If Jones plays that leaves Harmer, Snater, Akhtar, Jones and Bennett as 7-11, which could be worse but is indeally 1 place too high for Harmer and Snater.

Essex won the toss and will bowl. Fernandes plays as a specialist number 8.

Walter, Pepper, Cox, Allison, Benkenstein, Critchley, Harmer, Fernandes, Snater, Akhter, Bennett

I live about 20 miles away and have decided it's just too hot at 34 degrees to go.

Westley or Elgar would be a better bet than Fernandes

For anyone else, like me, that couldn't find the stream (branded as Steelbacks TV). Although at 92/0 from 7 overs it may be better to avert my eyes.

Look T20 is a s*** format for professional players. It was designed for mid summer evenings for club players after finishing work.

I'm still not sure whether they give a crap about T20 cricket or not.  The four game winning run probably surprised them as much as it did me.  They knew Mulder would miss the second half of the comp and havn't bothered to replace him leaving us with Harmer, a very average T20 player, as our only overseas player.
Any team with any intelligence whatsover would have realised they were going to lose and so the priority should have been to bat the overs out.  Any team we finish on level points will will now almost certainly finish above us.
