Interesting story by SA commentator near end of play India v SA 4th day 2nd test.

 He was night watchman at Durham and attempted to run a single and was sent back by Sir Chef , who had to explain to him what  the duty entailed at the end of the over.

Did manage to work out it out who it was after some thought .

I presume you mean Dale Steyn.  He did actually score 82 in a match at Durham as a night watchman, which I presume is the match in question.  We still got thrashed but sadly that innings was still more memorable than any bowling performance for Essex.

That?s who I worked it out has JP , season 2005.
Our other overseas player scored a century in the second innings batting in the middle order,  Andre Adams.
