Still unforgiveable. Great win, well done to the batters. Key's face at the end was a picture.

Well done to the team (well, the batters anyway) for a superb victory tonight. Desperately need to tighten up with the ball and in the field though as we can't expect to keep scoring nearly 200 each match to win. Also looks like Masters might be injured again (judging by the way he was shaking hands at the end) so lets hope its nothing too bad.

I bet Diatribe's face was the equal of Key's given the contribution of his two favourite players.

A well judged run chase & an excellent victory against our old rivals (so sweet ), not the greatest in the field & some of the bowling very wayward - Mills again but to be fair when he bowled straight & within the crease he did well & also started the period when we applied the brakes. Kent really should have got 210/215 & I was worried when our nemesis got Pettini 3rd ball but a fabulous innings from Ravi (at last in a big game for us) well supported by Ryder until the runout, & Tendo.
Afterwards Key could have been a little more gracious & given Essex some credit ..but he never has & never will!!
If we win the next 2 we will be in a strong position, COYE!!!

Great win and Ravi again showing his class to his critics!

As for Key, what a sore loser!  Didn't mention the dreadful bowling from their England spinner and overseas pro and the dropped catches!!

I don't follow 20 over cricket, Trickle, but by your remark, I presume they did well. If indeed you are referring to Tendoeschate and Bopara, I'd have no objections whatsoever with ECCC employing them on a pay as you play basis in limited over cricket, as indeed Hamps. have done this season with Shah.

They'd be excellent acquisitions on that basis where one would expect them to excel in a format in which they specialise whilst of course being available to play.

Unless I misheard and it was cupcakes, I thought that I heard him acknowledge the dropped catches too.

Didn't realise some cupcakes had been dropped. That explains why Key looked so upset.

Great win. Well done, Essex.

Although Mills bowled 3 no balls meaning free hits as well still ended up with 3-41, although i suspect he will be with the coach today making sure no more no balls are bowled as they are very rare in modern T20 cricket. Masters was most economical with just 23 from his 4 overs which is great considering they got 189
