Members' Forum tonight

Nothing like giving people plenty of notice is there!

A company I once acted for had discovered there was no legal reason why it could not hold its AGM at 3 am in an obscure countryside location. Not surprisingly few shareholders turned up. If anyone can make it this evening perhaps they could let us know what happens.

We did get an e-mail weeks ago and I have it in my calendar but I agree it's late to remind us.

I am a member of an organisation. Who held their AGM on a Scottish Island, on a Sunday. When there were no ferries.

I recall tonight being mentioned over the tannoy at the Yorkshire game. I had an e mail some weeks ago too. I suppose if people clear off to the pub during lunch they may not have heard the announcement?

I just logged on, and it appears to have now ended.

It would appear that you can only see the questions that you have asked and no one else's questions.

As regards the investment in the 100.

The ECB are in the altogether, the altogether.

I could see other people's questions. I missed the start but the point was made that there is no automatic right to any 100 money and it can only be used on infrastructure or debt repayment (Essex have no debt apart from borrowing a few thousand for some solar panels). Silverwood wants a quick bowler. No one much available on loan but looking at making signings. On future structure, no concrete proposals yet. Plenty of discussions ongoing. It sounds like some sort of reduction in T20 and championship fixtures. On the development of the ground, 100 money critical to getting things moving. Some questions about bowling out the tail, communication and non members in the Tom Pearce stand and people who can't see the scoreboard. Also people standing at the back of the stand last Sunday.

Thanks for the updates folks and I'm sorry I overlooked earlier adverts.
I'm intrigued about the quicker walkway from Meteor Way. Is this at last a new gate in the fence near the cricket school (a matter discussed for at least the last 10 years), or will they just play the Benny Hill theme tune over the tannoy?

If you cannot wait for the new entrance. Just do what was done outside the River entrance, where a hole was knocked into the hedge.

Has a Meteor way parker was also interested, all that was stated from a question was a quicker Riverside walk from Meteor Way which had to be verified by the council. No other details .

So, either a walk around the back of cricket school like previously going to the car park, or entrance by green cabinets by the corner of cricket school like. Strangely there is a gate which opens into car park which has never been in operation !
Have asked the club for further details.

There could be a Health and Safety implication, regarding the closed gate. That anyone is straight into the path of disabled parking and automatic transmission. A deadly combination.
