See the festival has some unusual T20 matches in the Pepsi ICC Europe Division 2 Championship!

June 24 - Austria v Gibraltar & Gibraltar v Germany

June 26 - Austria v Isle of Man & Austria v Div 3 winners

June 27 - Essex Legends v International XI

Is this still going on?

Gotta give them props for persistence I guess.

Deep joy.

You can't beat wearing a jumper in August.

Southern softies! Little bit of breeze, tsk.

We're never going back to Southchurch park so if you want cricket in the south of the county...

I'd settle for cricket in any part of the county.

We're like Battersea Dogs Home at the minute.

A crying shame if true. Loved SP.

I was in southend for a Rowing meeting a few weeks ago and parked next to southchurch.  I wandered over and had a look at the pitch.  I'd say it was in decent nick.  Obviously gets regular use and plenty of attention.

As per the Castle Park and Billericay whilst they apply makeup to the ECG.

There's no way that serious cricket would be played at Barren Tip again outside of that period. But if they wanted to play some T20 there then who cares ?

I would say quite a few based on T20 crowds compared to CC crowds!

I remember that ClaireW mentioned that the players weren't happy with SP - poor facilities and outfield. Nothing against it or  BP me self.

Pepsi ICC Europe Division 2 heads to Essex later this month as the Global Twenty20 pathway continues across Europe.

Its just a shame the Babylonian astrologers, 3000 yrs. ago were correct in their hypothesi that the world was round, otherwise I'd quite gladly witness the T20 circus heading off towards the abyss of the world's crater. I wouldn't be unduly perturbed if they took their toxic, sugar saturated Pepsi Cola with them, either. ::)

I find it very interesting, the world that Diatribe inhabits. Interesting, yet somewhat disturbing. I wonder what would happen if we invited KP onto this BB?

He would attract a lot of abuse, I believe , some constructive (if that's possible) & some downright rude!
I notice he isn't playing in 4 day cricket for Sorry just the T20 stuff & he's been a roaring success with scores of 1 & 1 average of 1 - still the figure is appropriate for him being No 1, the only 1 etc!!
