2025 Australian "A" Team Tour Party
« on: December 18, 2024, 11:28:21 AM »
Our Sam gets is chance to shine!
Squad: Sonny Baker (Hampshire), Shoaib Bashir (Somerset), Pat Brown (Derbyshire), James Coles (Sussex), Sam Cook (Essex), Alex Davies (Warwickshire), Rocky Flintoff (Lancashire), Tom Hartley (Lancashire), Tom Lawes (Surrey), Freddie McCann (Nottinghamshire). Ben McKinney (Durham), James Rew (Somerset), Hamza Shaikh (Warwickshire), Mitch Stanley (Lancashire), Josh Tongue (Nottinghamshire), John Turner (Hampshire)

Rather a lot of very young selections. I'm disappointed that there isn't  anyone who is obviously going to challenge for one of the top spots in the England order, given the struggles of Crawley & Pope. And I'm surprised Rehan isn't included. It'll be interesting to see how the other spinners do.

I?d advise my boy to tell the England selectors to stuff it. He?s 27yo and more than ready for the England team. If they won?t select him then he should join the franchise circus and fill his boots/wheelbarrow full of cash. That way I can then afford my new Ferrari.

He's 27.  If you've missed one of his birthdays then the new Ferrari may not be happening.

no chance Little Chef will turn down a place on the A team tour - it's his best chance to break into the Test team.
And besides, being paid to take a few weeks in AUs in the  middle of the English winter sounds pretty good to me.
