vs. Hants

Weak bowling side 25-30 runs short, two dropped catches.

At least Foakes and Salisbury played well.

Sadly a bit of a reality check really, there was never going to be any other result with that line up. Sounded like the batsmen forgot what T20 was all about (and its NOT a run a ball type innings!!) and the bowlers did as well (or as bad) as was expected, given their quality. Yes, I agree, the only 2 with any credit from that match were Foakes and Salisbury.

Our T20 record v Hants is poor (must be worse than against anyone else),rather worryingly we have them in our last but one Group game at ECG so it may prove crucial. Good to note Salisbury bowled well again, if he keeps this up he may well carve out a career with us as a seamer.
Interesting selection problem when Ravi & Tendo return as to who they replace as Foakes & Salisbury have done well & deserve to stay in so who will make way?

Bopara for Velani.  As for RTD it should be a shoot out between him and Smith

Well I suppose Tendo is a gun for hire.

Will Cooky be available on Friday.   Presumably he will be available for his big bash on Thursday so ought to be allowed to play in a competitive fixture the next day.

We may have to fit three players into the team.

However from a T20 perspective the player I want to see back is Napier.
