Is there really any point in having a cricket committee at this stage? Seems to me like having a DoC effectively makes them redundant. By the sounds of the rumours flying around on here over the past few days, that viewpoint seems to be shared...

I remember the days when the cricket committee consisted of the club secretary (P Edwards) first team and second team captains. Generally worked better than committees chock full of ex players (e.g. Yorkshire CCC).

 OK having a DoC for the club, with a dedicated coach has interims for the teams within would be acceptable.
Being a coach for any of the teams must be a full time positions surely.
 Find it impossible how a DoC can be engaged with all forms AND take the responsibility of the running  first team has their overall concern, and who does they turn to when results are not favourable ?
 Impossible job for individual whoever they are .
 Or another cost cutting exercise.

Yorkshire are arguably even more skint than us. Not for much longer mind, as they are actually embracing the prospect of private investment.

Another point I failed to mention, the prospect of a big points deduction. 'Get out while you can' comes to mind.
