I'm pretty sure McGrath said he'd be out for about a month.

I thought I'd heard 2 weeks but not sure where from. It's not even been 10 days yet so I think we can let him off. Recovery time to be match fit is going to be longer than go back to work and don't overdo it.

His aim is to be fit for the dreaded Hundred.

I'm sure we all can't wait. At least there's the 50 overs competition.

I missed the start, but see Kent won the toss and put Essex in.

Elgar, Rossington, Pepper, Das, Walter, Critchley, Allison C, Harmer, Bosch, Snater, Cook. The bowling looks a lot stronger, let's see if it proves to be.

Very good comeback, putting the squeeze on just when Kent looked in danger of romping it. What a difference Sam Cook makes. Another excellent all-round performance from Walter, who's on a roll, Snater showing he belongs in the T20 side with two crucial wickets, and Harmer's best T20 bowling for some time. Gutsy, professional performance after Muyeye had looked like he might make a mockery of the target.  Kent did look like a team who have forgotten how to win though.

That was an excellent win. So much better with Sam Cook back. Plus an in form Snater.
