Essex pulled that back in the end and *should* be able to get 176, but they have made a mess of a chase before.

And why do Essex persist in having two separate commentaries? The YouTube one is awful. Why not just take the BBC Essex one?

After a dodgy start that was a good win. Great batting from Sams (who also bowled well) as well as Khushi helping the team get over a nightmare start with Das and Pepper out first ball. Also another top knock from Paul Walter.

Essex looking good for the quarter finals.

Thought it was alright tonight with Goochie. Particularly enjoyed him subtlety laying into Lawrence. Sound quality was bad though as always, but I do like hearing the loud crowd on a Friday night.

Feroze was superb through the powerplay. As they said on stream, someone needs to steal his phone and delete Surrey's number...

:D Not until he's an England international. They can field a team of them now.

 A wins a win .

Young guns put us on back foot at start of innings,  against top sides would be unable to recover. Need match experience and learn from actions .

What did he say, out of interest?

Basically that the grass isn't always greener. You can go back on the stream and look through but I can't remember when exactly it cropped up.

Thanks. Sounds like it was understated but pointed.
