Four whole days?  I fear that the Essex players could spend a very long time in the field.

Great news for us & should ensure some well attended days in hopefully good weather, really enjoyed the 1 day game v the Aussies in 2012 despite the result.

Being Giles Clarke's best bud obviously pays dividends.

Better not tell them here at Old trafford: they're not happy at being overlooked for an Ashes Test/slaughter of the innocents next year.

The moral being forget about expensive ground improvements & just suck up to the ECB every waking hour of the day.

Perhaps the parking policy for Wednesday might get revoked by the feedback brigade by then.

Well done everyone concerned. Especially the Officers, Committee, Larry, Danny, Fozzie and the ticket office  ;)

Sadly VP will probably be still boycotting Chelmsford  :(

How do you know it’s all going to work seamlessly?  Anyway, why did we get this game? Maybe because the Aussies wanted it, because. leaving aside The Oval, where’s the nearest large first class ground to Central London? (Or Earls Court!)
