It would be helpful if Paul Hiscock attended an interviewing skills course.
Long rambling statements posing as questions, interspersed with "we", does not come across as very professional.

I agree - sadly he needs to learn to ask questions not give his own view.

A bit late in the day I think. It's been his style for a number of years now. Maybe the club are happy with his interviewing technique?

They shouldn't be, it's embarrassing to watch/listen to.

As for yesterday, it was the footballing equivalent of conceding a goal in the 2nd minute and equalising in the 95th. We were behind from virtually ball one, so to scab a tie is quite satisfying. The South Group doesn't look very strong really, Sussex will comfortably top the group but second place is open to pretty much everyone else to claim.

Walter is rapidly becoming the find of the season in both formats.

Absolutely, can’t really fault him so far in any match, let’s hope he can continue to push on. Mind you, he’s not got much opposition so far this season (apart the two usual suspects!) especially when it comes to scoring runs!!!.
Going to need the bowlers to save us yet again today after another poor batting effort.
Perhaps it’s today when the great mystery of why Snater continually gets picked, will be solved?!!!!!!

Nope!!...i guess not!!....Think that must be his lot now especially as it sounded like his fielding wasn't up to much either! Cant keep picking someone who doesnt bat, just to be trusted to bowl only two overs each match!

Our luck had to run out sometime and although there's plenty of matches left yet, the batting really is concern.

Sounds like Harmer at Chelmsford.  When he was appointed captain I was against it because I wouldn't have picked him in every game.  Obviously we won the trophy so you can hardly say it was a bad choice but I've seen pretty much all of the T20 games at Chelmsford since he came and his record is terrible there.
18 matches
9 innings 66 runs, average 9.42, HS 13.
46 overs 11 wickets for 483 runs conceded at 43.90 runs each, BB 3-39 economy rate of 10.35.

You lot have cursed that for talking Walter up. Abysmal 19th over today which swung the game to Hampshire. The boy can’t bowl straight!

You make a good point Jason. It sounded like Nijar was much better than Harmer today. A  couple of dropped catches proved very costly. Westley also injured a finger taking a catch and had to go off.

Ill forgive him being a bit rusty, hes under bowled.

Re our batting, I wondered if we might look at one of the Pakistani batters.  Of course money is an issue, but I guess that a couple of them would not be that expensive for a weeks

We need to act quickly though, if we lose at Lords tomorrow we have a lot to do to qualify, probably having to win 4/5 of the last 6 - unless of course we turn it round like last year!

I read that there was supposed to be some sort of agreement among the counties not to sign overseas players this season. Largely this has been observed.
