Team Selection
« on: August 02, 2019, 02:12:17 PM »
From the Team Selections you could very well believe that the Club have no interest in actually winning matches. Against Hampshire playing only 5 front line batsmen when we all know that it is batsmen that win T20 matches. From the 6 bowlers 3 have been playing in the 2nd Team all the Season. The selection of Snater is particularly strange - he is clearly out of his depth, but keeps on getting selected - embarrassing and cruel. Where are Porter, Sam Cook, Beard, Bopara, Chopra, Brown, etc. etc.  No other Counties seem to play other than their best available sides. The Club must have known that in the absence of a "Delport" type contribution there really was minimal chance of a victory against Hampshire - In fact it turned out a rather pathetic and embarrassing "non contest"  Maybe only interested in selling as many advance tickets as possible !!

Since McGraths been in charge that's now P20 W4 L11 T1 NR 4.  The team selections have been consistently crap.

Whatever....we should keep Porter and Cook jnr away from this T20 rubbish. Save them for the proper cricket.
