Thanks for post,

There will be a consultation, we’re just waiting for contractual agreements to be signed in order to commence work.

Thanks, Danny

Shouldn't the consultation be before the signing?

Sorry Danny. Thanks for the reply but I don't understand the answer.

Is that contractual agreement on the consultation, or on a redesign or on what?

Not with Essex, they do everything wrong just to make them sound professional.

Having made a rare visit to the official Club website, I see that the detail under "Ground Development" link remains unaltered since the last "update" on 24 July 2013.
Considering in the interim timescales have lapsed somewhat, mention is made of the second and third phase commencing in 2014 involving the construction of a multi-storey car park, although there seems to have been no start to Phase A, yet. Isn't it about time the Club assessed the validity and accuracy of information and provided information that is relevant to March 2014?
Additionally the link to 'view the full press release' appears to be broken.

Once again, some honesty on this vanity project - scheme would be welcome. In my experience you tend to have a chance to engage customers and stakeholders if you display some.

Look I'm no apologist for the club but they have made it clear both on this site and in the bumpf sent with the membership packs that contracts have yet to be signed.

Would be nice to see what is happening before paying for a membership.

Sorry, nat, what they've done is post a one liner on here admitting (in response to questions) that the contractural aspect of phase one has yet to be signed, there's no detail or explanation whatsoever. Meanwhile, the website home of the 'ground redevelopment' requires updating and has for months. I wouldn't mind, but the Club are not being honest and upfront about what is happening. There's clearly a disconnect somewhere within ECCC, because every other piece of trivial news, is posted with undue haste. Like it or loathe it, this redevelopment will shape the Club and its ambitions for the next fifty years, and as such is rather important.

Well said Mog, but be careful as the truth will never be told, and we are kept in the dark.

Mog is right.

Danny's answer to my question was an attempt at stonewalling.

As I've said before, I dislike the whole scheme. At least 5 attempts to get a true account of the proposed seating at the river end, have led to promises of drawings, or its just ignored.

My reading of the original plans, allow room for only 5 - 6 rows of low level seats from the Tom Pearce replacement  around to the scoreboard area. This would not be adequate for those like me who want to watch "behind the bowlers arm"

Neither for those such as our veritable Valentino, who prefer to watch behind the coach's arm. ;D

I thought Larry only ventured out of the dressing room for ice cream these days?

Although I don't really blame him for not wanting to watch a team he assembled.

you and PG are one and the same!

Come on admit it. Has anyone see PG and VP in the same room together?
