« on: December 17, 2018, 07:17:55 PM »
Recently had my members priority form for booking Test Match tickets for Lords.
England v Australia, Edrich upper £150.

In my best Aussie accent " Crikey"!

Yes. Decided that at the prices they are charging it's cheaper for me to go up north / Edgbaston!

I thought £100 at The Oval was too much. I'm giving it a miss. Too expensive for me.

I am missing my first Headingley Test match in years because my usual £45 seat is now £90. I refuse to pay Graves that much.

Crikey - £90 for Leeds! I remember paying £15 for the western terrace in 1993. I suppose they'll justify this by selling the games out.

They are quite open about getting as much from the Ashes Test and their 4 World Cup games in order to pay down some of their crippling debt, much of which is owed to Graves. Headingley has no Test match in 2020 so all their efforts are concentrated on next season. Surprisingly the Test match is nearly sold out for the first four days. So much for the "poorer north".

I think I applied for 2x £100 tickets in the mound stand.  £150 is outrageous.  I watched a whole test in Sri Lanka for £6.

and we won!
