Must be the weakest line up from us for a T20 match for all time. Westley out and no replacement batsman. Only 5 front line batsmen and that includes wicketkeeper batsman, Wheater, and Lawrence who I do not think has ever made a 50 in this form of the game. With this line up it is not easy to see a win from any of these 3 matches in 4 days. Clearly the Club had written of the T20 Competition before it even started - little regard for all those who have bought tickets in advance.
Whilst agreeing that the batting line up is horrendous, I do at least think that having Foster instead of Westley will actually strengthen the batting and Siddle instead of Wagner will also make the bowling better. Still a very weak T20 team though but stronger than the last match I feel, but still unlikely to win more than 1 of the next three matches (at best!).
I think the club, whilst perhaps not actually writing off the competition before it started, has got very complacent about it, as they know that most of the matches will be all but sold out, despite how rubbish the team actually is!
