Think  Alan Border has informed the club he would not be overseas player again and recommends M Waugh has his replacement . Who's he ?
August 1988 v Notts . Gooch goes early, in strolls Waugh who strikes a wonderful hundred on his debut in England and Essex . Also takes 2-16 with the ball. A wonderful career has started already !

Heady days indeed slogger

Given the revelations over tennis, I would have thought that the club should be seriously reconsidering this new sponsor pdq!

Sends totally the wrong messages.

I can't believe that the delightful Ms Watson would throw a match?!

Will the childs/youths replica kit bear the sponsors name? Football clubs are barred from promoting gambling on shirts designed for those under 18.....Given the number of youngsters sporting replica kit, especially at T20 games, have we shot ourselves in the foot?

Unibet are shown as a partner as opposed to a sponsor so probably not. Not sure what one brings to the table that the other doesn't though.

Are they a valued partner though?

That was always Danny Macklin's mantra about our crap beer supplier.
