By a strange coincidence (or not), when the club sent out it's e-mail to members recently about the stalling of the redevelopment project, I wasn't included. When I queried why they hadn't sent it to me, they told me that they had sent it to the e-mail address that they had for me on their records. That e-mail address didn't exist and had never existed and didn't even look like a valid address. (They still didn't send me the e-mail though!).It wasn't till then that I realised that I hadn't received any over and out e-mails for a while. May also explain why having handed in my ticket for the rained off T20 game with a request for the refund to be kept on account for next season, they sent me a cheque for £8 instead.  Checked my bank account on-line and the Direct Debit details for ECCC are still there, so it appears that someone somewhere (not me or my bank) made a "processing error" with my DD details and my e-mail address. Hopefully they've still got my address right or I won't get the mailing this week!

Please get in contact and we can make sure your details are up to date on our system so that you'll receive Members/Over & Out emails in the future. This can be done via your online account (https://tickets.essexcricket.org.uk/PagesPublic/Login/Login.aspx) but if you would like us to look into for you then please contact by email - ashley.neave@essexcricket.org.uk. Thanks, Ashley

I always used to get 'over and out' too - can you explain why we need an account to get a free e-mail?

I asked this on your thread and still haven't had an answer. Surely an e-mail can be sent to any member asking to go on the distribution list?

Apologies for missing your message.

The process of signing up for 'Over & Out!' is to create an account with us, regardless of whether you are buying tickets or not.

By signing up through your account, we are able to distinguish what news you receive i.e. Members Newsletters. This is provided you have confirmed on your account that you are happy to receive email communications from us.

Every Member and Ticket Buyer automatically has an account with the Club. We are in the process of updating all of our data, and you will see in your renewal packs that we have pre-populated your details on your renewal form. If these are incorrect, please let us know, or you can update online, where you can also confirm your email subscriptions.

Ash - I don't understand why we need an account when we never did before. I'm a Life Member so there's no renewing of membership involved.

When I voted for 'Player of the Year' there was an option to ask for 'Over and Out' which I did - nothing received.

Why make it so complicated?

I used to get "Over & Out" but I no longer do.

I don't feel as though I'm missing much, but that's not the point.

Still nothing received - from other posts it says the maazine is the last.

When I signed up for Life Membership it promised two members magazines a year and free parking ... so two promises now broken.

Not quite. You will still get the magazine but it will be online. So all you wrinklies out there need to come into the 21st century.

Is this a way of making us sign up for an online account? I don't want one - I have no need to buy tickets.

Nah, it's rubbish for that. The pages are too glossy.
