Did I read somewhere that Danny was moving on? Sad if true, and one can only wish him all the best.

He's leaving the club for in September for pastures new. Well, Sarfend.

When discussing spectator improvements recently forum members could only come up with slightly better sandwiches.

Talked a good game but that was about it.

Sarfend are welcome to him.

His role was never to engineer a change of culture at the club. He did about as well as any marketing bod could given the problems on and off the field.

Maybe but the fulsome praise he receives is only because everyone else at the club is a complete incompetent.

If you analyse his performance objectively he didn't do much warranting recognition.

His strength was his willingness to communicate and engage with the supporter base.

His weakness was his inability to turn that engagement into change for the better.

Although I've never met the man his exceptional efforts to try to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear always seemed highly commendable to me. His work ethic -  posting responses on this forum and its precursor in the early hours of the morning - made me fear for his health. From a distance he seemed uber committed and dedicated to the cause and it would not surprise me if the dead weight of the club's structure foiled any meaningful initiative he may have wanted to pursue. I wish him well and I think he will prove yet another significant loss to the club.

Good luck to Danny in his new job.
I always found him helpful, eager to sort out problems and tried to do his best (in what I suspect is not an easy envoironment).

His team won ECB awards in 2010, 2011, 2012, so if Valentines Park think he has done nothing to gain recognition, what were the other 17 counties doing?

Was that for flogging T20 tickets?

Can't think what else it was for.

Certainly not that laughable "beer festival" which simply entailed even more Shepherd Neame swill than usual.
