2014 accounts
« on: April 01, 2015, 08:04:11 PM »
Makes for sorry reading.

How is David Acfield still treasurer?!

I think we can clearly see why the club has not strengthened the team.

Contrary to Starfish's continued assertions membership (income) is well down. This must be addressed ... quickly.

There are clear danger signs in these accounts.

I have not seen the accounts as I have not renewed my membership yet, if I bother to do so.

Life membership is out of the question. I know what unsecured creditor means.

Could for this year and last year, the membership numbers and the various income/expenditure streams be summarised as a percentage up or down please.

Acfields comments sound complacent but isn't that the problem in a nutshell. Jobs for the boys and instead of a long hard look at themselves its pats on the back all round and another free lunch in the committee room.

Are these in the papers for the AGM? If so, nothing received yet ...

i dont belive these are in the figures that were released sometime ago otherwise the announcement would have been then not just now.

it will be interesting for an accountant to go through them and give an indication of where its going wrong, if they are available for the public.
