To clarify no glass vessels are allowed at the ground

A limit of four cans is allowed - please refer to ground regulations

Thanks

Sorry Danny, that isn't really clarifying anything. Are you saying the big, burly, bearded steward (resisting the temptation to keep the alliteration going) had been incorrectly instructed or was exceeding his brief. It really isn't on, hassling members unnecessarily and it's even worse if the steward is acting on a whim. If that is the case perhaps the club would like to issue an apology to those of its members inconvenienced in that way last Wednesday.

I really do appreciate your prompt and attentive responses to questions on here, but this issue appears nebulous to say the least.

Empty vessels are welcome though.

How long has Grayson been coach now?

I blame Rupert Murdoch for such dangerous extremism & wholeheartedly support the club's principled stand against kids having fun. ;)

We'll have it quoted as anti terrorism next.

Perhaps we could ban Darren Stevens from entry on those grounds.

He's terrorized us for years.

Hmmmm ...

Chelmsford isn't (yet!) a Test ground but spectators were invited to go on the grass last night, despite the presence of the almighty Sky. Looks like the Club did note and respond on this occasion.

Or alternatively did Rupe's cronies insist on it?

I should imagine they want some background colour when Nick Knight is dispensing "wisdom".

I've been to the oval for quite a few games this year and they always have bag searches for 20/20 games and one day matches so Essex are no different.

The bag search on Thursday took less than 30 seconds and were very friendly.
