He copied Pettini's schoolwork the first couple of years.

Danny,

I'm surprised with your comment that Full Member volumes have decreased due to ill health. Without appearing ageist, surely that would have more of an impact on our Senior Members i.e 65 years +. Ironically, their member volumes increased slightly in 2013.

I know and have spoken to many Ex Full Members and their reasons for not renewing are as follows: 1) The demise of the very profitable Southend Festival, in particular the way the decision was made and subsequently implemented. 2) The erratic and on occasions, pathetic performances of the team. 3) The apathy with our Committees. The perception is they are arrogant, parochial, complacent and not transparent. 4) The No Refund Policy for inclement weather etc..

For your information, during the past 2 years I have completed various on line feedback forms, suggestion forms and even re-arranged a work commitment to attend the Focus group meeting, which was cancelled at the 11th hour. To this day I have never had the courtesy of an acknowledgement let alone an apology!! That said, I will send you my updated ideas in due course.

After reading your posts surely Essex's record EVERYWHERE is truly abysmal

No just abysmal.

We never won a first class match at Barren Park & that must have been a factor in its binning.

"The Championship is a priority" remember.

That statement is not simply inaccurate but so wide of the mark it suggests that facts just don't come into it when you are pursuing your vendettas.

Three wins in seven matches, more wins than from our last 7 visits to Colchester, more wins than from our last 9 visits to Valentines Park and, of course a far greater ratio of wins to matches than we've seen at Chelmsford for many a year.

Whilst you might easily have forgotten the exciting win over Durham, set up by Andy Flower and Andre Adams in 2005 and even perhaps our big 200+ runs win over Somerset a year later when all 10 batsmen used got over 20 in our second innings, there should be no excuse for failing to remember Masters incredible performance against Leicester in our win by nearly 300 runs just three years ago.

It's real Ministry of Truth stuff for you, isn't it.

I used to go quite a lot.

Thankfully that predated you stalking my every move on here.

I'd need a restraining order at the County Ground.  ;D
Thank god you don't go anymore

Some good wins there Mick. The Leicester victory, although I hear people say "must have been a crap wicket" etc was that just before they batted Ravi has just got 178 and Masters himself made 48 to prove otherwise. And the Flower knock of about 130 was class in 2005

I clearly remember the victory over Leics at GP being one of the few who remained in very chilly conditions, also in the win over Durham in 2005 Andy Flower scored an unbeaten century when we had to get just under 300 to win. I also believe bar losing heavily to Somerset in 2010(?) & Warwicks we managed to win our other 1 day games there including absolutely thrashing Northants by 8 wickets in 2008(?) ,that being said we did get hammered on some occasions notably by Gloucs in 2007 & Glam in 2008.

With apologies to BlueEagles. Given the amount of personal dross that have necessitated a tiresome amount of deletions , indicates that this thread seems to have more than run its course. May I humbly suggest that you discuss your concerns directly with Danny as an alternative ?
