Kent (A) 2026
« on: May 28, 2026, 06:05:42 PM »
Charlie is back and I guess he'll come in for Fernandes. Kent are better at T20 than red ball, so hard to see anything other than a difficult night, but I will remain positive. At least for now.

RCB are in the IPL final, so although he won't play, they won't let Cox fly home yet.

Harmer, Akhter, Allison, Benkenstein, Bennett, Critchley, Das, Fernandes, Jones, Mulder, Pepper, Snater, Thain, Walter

Hopefully the performance will be a lot better, than the one in this fixture last season.

At least Cox won't have a face-off with Billings.

Shame. I was looking forward to that.

Is the man in a neighbouring house, still there. To throw back the balls that Kent hit into his back garden. He was rather busy last season. I hope that he has not just installed a greenhouse.

Kent 32/4. That's a much better start across the bowlers. No doubt one of the middle order will take them to 200.

Kent are not going to post a big total from that start, are they. Another wicket gone down.

Not with Lintott coming in at 7. But such is the form Essex are in that I generally fear the worst to be on the safe side.

An excellent bowling performance to restrict Kent to 129. Bennett, Mulder, Akhter and Snater all impressed and Harmer's 4 overs for 14 was outstanding.

Even with the pitch doing a bit, the batsmen should get 130. If they don't then maybe the bowlers should make them walk home.

Never in doubt. We've got a tip top T20 team who should go all the way this year.

Well done boys. A very pleasant surprise after the poor start to the campaign. Very good bowling performance. Bennett getting people out with disconcerting extra bounce was particularly encouraging.

I wasn't expecting that and the win was all the better for it. Well done Pepper and Walter. That will give the team some confidence heading in to the Derbyshire cross group game on Sunday.

Great  9 wicket win for Essex. brilliant with the ball and excellent opening partenship between Paul Walter and michael Pepper. i was really pleased how we responded after the disapointment of the two defeats in opening two matches. :D
