Danny,

Having recently reviewed last years accounts, I've ascertained that despite increasing the workforce for the Marketing & Sales team by 10%, the net profits for the Marketing Department were down by £110k!! ( circa 33%).

The 'official' explanation/excuse by David Acfield was that profits from Marketing activities were down due to the economic environment and not having a ground naming sponsor. With regard to the former, the economy was much healthier in 2013 compared with 2012, as reflected in the GDP figures etc...and why have we not been able to get a sponsor, even for a short duration i.e.2/3 years?

The club are probably still in denial about being dumped by Ford.

The market is tough, it remains tough and we, like all counties have to work hard to gain and most importantly retain sponsors.

The ground naming rights is out now in the market so to speak. In 2013 there was obviously a lot of uncertainty with regard the ground development. Now we know more and likely timescales the pitch is easier.

Selling at a cut price is not good long term business as we need and want a partner who we can work with over time. Thanks for interest, hope that helps

Thought the club had sold its sole to Dunkin Donuts ! Well they do have a advert on the pavilion.

Dunkin Donuts? Aren't they Jesse Ryder's kit sponsors?  :D
