I genuinely don't know whether Key and Luke Wright know the difference between 50 over and 20 over cricket.  The 50 over side always looks like a T20 team to me whereas other siides are a lot closer to Test Teams.  Salt, Livingstone and Overton in particular are T20 players.  Key also has this obssesion with 90 mile an hour bowlers.  Mark Wood is 35 and has never been very good at 50 over cricket.

Or to summarise... Key is an idiot.

Lost against India, but nobody will be worried if we won the Champions League .

Well two games in and already out , the only thing we do properly with pace is depart early .

No worries for the players though. They'll be off to the next franchise circus before you can say 'kerching'.

Indeed. Buttler, Livingstone, Brook, Salt, Archer, Carse, Overton and Bethell are all in the IPL.

On the plus side, this was a good tournament for Sam Cook.

As The Cricketer subscriber, I have received in my inbox. An article, from George Dobell asking, who is to blame for the England performance.

Whoever, it is. The position is being reached, where it is irretrievable.

So what? Who cares about 50 over cricket? Certainly not the ECB.

No mention of the Cricket on the BBC this morning.

They did, although it is a rest weekend, mention the Six Nations. England, are holding a training session that is open to the Public. The coach, hinted that it was aimed at school parties.

The England Cricket team would not do this, as they would get unsolicited advice from fans. What is worse, is the advice would be correct.

Surely with our recent record in international ODI we must be closed to being demoted to a non qualified sides together with the WIndies.

If there was any danger of that, the ICC would change the rules. Not in the top 8 ODI sides? No problem, we'll make it a 10 team tournament.

If this was the same format as the Davis Cup. England would find themselves in the same group as Thailand and The Cook Islands.

Those central contracts have been well worth the money.
