If going to the AGM, a cassette tape recorder under your coat will suffice. A C90 tape, after 45 minutes, visit the facilities and turn the tape over to the other side.

Tape recorder? C90? Christ Vim, I thought I was  behind the curve on technology!

I was expecting an Edison recording phonograph.  Anyone know any friendly Russians or Chinese agents who are prepared to work for free?

There is no need to give live audio. We can all wait for a summary later on.

There should be an award, for the most stupid statement or question at the AGM. There will be a number of nominations.

I've still had no reply to my e-mail about live streaming the AGM.

Does anyone know how to contact our member reps?

Take the matter of the live-streaming up with club directly.

Members reps are a version of the American joke about having to have one from the shop floor.

I would have put my name down for the free hospitality. Sitting in the corner at a meeting and stuffing my face, is the ideal situation for everyone.

I did e-mail the club!

I don't live in Essex these days ... a phone call leaves no trail.

No doubt, someone attending the AGM will provide a summary.

If, the club says not to. Follow the advice of the Duke of Wellington and publish and be dammed.

Part reply from Dan regards streaming .

The decision around this AGM was taken due the need around a vote being taken on the evening, that we would not be able to active online that we had to take the option to not stream the AGM.

We are certainly looking into how we can provide this in the future, but for this year's AGM it was just not possible to action.

Voting could have been done by issuing papers in advance.

I just want to hear what is said ...

How is the professional women's team going to be financed?
Is any of the budget for their players and staff coming from funds that would otherwise be available for the men's first eleven.

I hope someone asks these questions.

Of course the women's game is/will be subsidised by the men's game. There is a finite pot of money.

Will the club ever make a profit again?

Will the club ever make a profit again?
Only two ways it can make a profit in its current guise.

A sale to private ownership with the capital to invest heavily (nine figures) into moving ground, or radical redevelopment.

Remaining member-owned but with a significant slashing of the playing/staff budget which sees all our best players go elsewhere and the club be consigned to D2 wasteland with the likes of Derby/Leicester, at least until the ECB puts them all out of their misery and breaks away with the counties at Test match venues. That may not guarantee a profit either as membership/ticket sales would no doubt be affected by the team no longer being competitive.
