Proposals to sell ECB percentage of franchise, sent to counties with feedback until 9th August .

All proposals rejected in full, not the only county to do the same, but seems the ECB to continue sale without a vote from counties which did need the consent of 14 or more at present.
Reasons being will result in two tier system with host franchises having a constant revenue stream while non hoist will not and not enough detail.
Basically sale of franchise team is split 19 ways .
Lots of complicated details of what you can do or not do with money received eg pay debts .

So how can the sale proceed without the consent of at least 14 counties?

14 counties need to agree with sale.
However that only applies until end of 2024.
Then ECB free to do what they like.

Eh? How does that work? I'd presume the articles of association for the ECB specify the need for the majority (14) of the counties to consent so why is there a time limit?

I would check to see if someone hasn?t scrawled in an additional point to that effect in crayon.

As per the Grumlber's tweet below, this is what I heard yesterday.

A clause in framework agreement says they're not permitted to sell without 14 counties agreement before end of 2024
But after that, ie 2025, can sell franchises without counties' consent

Yes that was stated last evening .. how this was allowed is questionable.

How? It was put in place several years ago and legal  challenge is unaffordable.

Seems the ECB are in a might rush to sell 49%, possibly with the T20 World Cup over and desperately trying to get the game to develop in and with States money and franchises from the IPL. The problem will arise however with invests wanting some sort of control for their investment, eg naming rights,  player?s availability, rules etc and the ECB have no control after pocketing to cash.
Non host counties will lose players if any confrontation in movement, and those who try to will be ostracised in trying to sign other players
