To find some positives: Benkenstein is going to be a handful later on in the season. Very promising bowler.

He'll need careful handling 'cos he will get some hammer now and again.

Impressed me as well. A bit of filth but to be expected for a young leggie. Fielding in general was very good. Didn't bowl terribly in the main bar Beard, just not enough runs on the board. But if we want to take the comp seriously we'd be wise not to pick an opener with a strike rate of 111 in T20s, especially after refusing to select Chef for all those years.

Sometimes the batting will come off and sometimes it won't. We'll win a few and lose a few. Hopefully enough wins to make the top four. Either way, roll on Durham.

Rather disappointing against arguably the poorest team in the competition. Team selection a bit dubious - bit like who shall we give a game to. However can?t win everything!!

Some low scores tonight and every match won by the side batting second.  Not easy setting scores with pretty much no preparation time after finishing CC only 2 days ago.  Elgar a very strange selection.

Elgar and Harmer are teammates in SA. Just saying.

Ravi got a 50 for the Steelbacks and won them the game.

If Elgar is classed as a local player we should sign an overseas quick bowler to boost the championship squad

Of course we should but doubt we can afford it.

Khushi played a second eleven game yesterday, makes no sense that he is not in the squad. He must have pissed someone off; dropped from the 4-day team, now from the T20.

He did only sign a 1 year deal last summer.  This was around the time of the season last year that Lawrence announced he was off so perhaps he's decided he's going elesewhere?

15 seems a pretty big squad.  I was surprised Elgar made the squad but having put him in it, I would think he would likely play.

Very worrying imo.
But who can blame him given how he's been treated.
