Scotland look a bit out of their depth so far.

SA bowled out for 230 after a great start, a good recovery by the England bowlers. Eddie Jack looks a good bowler, as others on here have said.

The Essex players haven't covered themselves in glory so far: Thain bowled one over for 9, Benkenstein went for 31 from 4 and Charlie Allison dropped a catch. Let's see how they do in the England chase.

Noah Thain was undefeated on 63 from 82 balls to take England (137/2) to victory on DLS. A good performance after SA got off to a flyer.

Defeat by West Indies in today's match. Noah Thain scored 40 in England's 192 all out, Benkenstein and Allison both went cheaply. In the Windies innings of 196/8 Benkenstein took 1 for 3 in his only over.

I was surprised that one of the other seamers didn't bowl the last over.

In any case, England crashed to defeat chasing a DLS adjusted score of 215 from 24 overs. Thain made 13, Benkenstein 1 and Charlie Allison top scored with 26 from 16 balls including 3 sixes. It'll be difficult for England to qualify from the super sixes now.

 Two defeats now leave them struggling to reach the semis . DLS equation seems a tad high unless not losing wickets iat the start.

Picking the ball up without confirmation from the fielding side is breaking the rules, nothing new. Let the fielding side do the fielding, simples .
 Good experience for the Essex guys, playing against those of the same level. All dropped catches, but ok overall without a outstanding contribution.

It looks ridiculous as the ball was stopped dead on the crease. Having said that, no attempt by Sheikh to get the OK from the keeper.  Schoolboy error. 

Not sure whether the fielding side should be so effusive in their celebrations as we know the bad blood these incidents create. The one good thing is that Sheikh won?t do that again in his career.

I just don?t understand the need for the batsmen to do the job of the fielding side?

If Sheikh had just stood there, Zimbabwe would probably have appealed for obstruction anyway.

 The Aussies are bought up with the psyche of not  letting the batting side touching the ball, fielding is the fielders job.
 Surprised that coaches ( perhaps they do ) annually go through the general laws with players, which would stop     such these incidents and others like Bairstow and Bell . Perhaps the batters get blaise with the rules, or forget has they play so often .
