 Great win down by Sussex by the Sea.
 How a week can be a long time in sport, with cricket no exception. Two great knocks by Rossington in white and red ball games, whereas the inform Pepper had three innings in single figures and deliveries and a effect late order knock by Wesley getting us to a competitive score.
The indomitable Ravi, leading a young side now without Salt and Jordan, played a skippers innings in keeping them in touch, but finally holed out, just has the tail appeared, work still in progress in the development for his side.

Birmingham play Lancs in the last match and so it could easily be Derbyshire

Possible, but unlikely. Lancs would have to lose that by about 100 runs to slip below Derbys on NRR.

Lancs are level on points with Derbyshire.  On current form Birmingham will probably beat them and so if Derby win against Durham they’ll likely finish second.

So Lancashire away it is on Friday night.  Almost certainly no Parkinson, Buttler, Livingstone, Salt or Gleason with England playing a T20 at 2.30 the next day.  Spins there as well so hopefully it may suit us there.

I don't think it's a coincidence that our quarter-final (plus Surrey vs Yorkshire) has been scheduled on the days when England aren't playing unlike the other two quarter-finals. I suspect we may be seeing those England players after all.

I don't think England will release players in the middle of a series, certainly not all of them. Lancashire away is still going to be tough even without those players. Fingers crossed that Critchley will be back from injury.

Critchley was running around the outfield on Saturday but with more rests than fluent running or sprinting, but his knee is very heavily strapped up, although he did net for a while, however I would say he is very doubtful.
