Attended yesterday for the first time this season. Significant changes to the HCE which are generally good except for the loss of some of the trees, less shade!
Are there any plans for tiered seating at the HCE? There seems to be sufficient room now albeit the new sightscreen arrangement might be problematic.
On my visit-Sunday, I too noticed the loss of the mature trees formerly in front of the new, utilitarian block of flats at the Hays Close end. I cannot recall if the trees were within ECCC's domain or outside?
If those trees
were within the Clubs' property then perhaps they could enlighten us why they have seen fit to cull them?
As if the Club are not content significantly increasing the risk of flooding to Chelmsford by their vanity project to erect a wall of poorly designed tower blocks.
Personally, I think the Hays Close end would befit a grass bank, like the north end at Hove, providing something different and a change of focus to soften up the mundanity and poorly designed/appointed County Ground.
