A pity nobody asked if the Club had raised the Taunton pitch with the ECB or if we had marked it as poor etc after the final game, I do feel something should be done/have been done at the time, if we had lost I think we would have done.

I'd prefer we stayed out of it and made no comment

The pitch was atrocious, I agree, and something should be done about it. But leave that to the ECB and let's not get involved. I think it was best left unasked at the forum

On the contrary now is the best time to get involved. We didn't lose the game/championship so it wouldn't appear as 'sour grapes'.

...would this make it more likely that our Bunsen at Chelmsford will be investigated next year????

Our pitch preparation is entirely different and above board and eminently fair to both teams...as you would know being an Essex boy.

They are strange wickets where Harmer takes a tonne of wickets and the opposition spinners look relativity nonthreatening.
