Not watching and giving Sky a viewer. Hopefully 60k in Tendo’s pocket will make up for playing in front of one man and his dog in Wales.
I'd need a lot more than 60k to set foot in Wales boyo

Compare the players we’ve lost to the rest of the Southern counties  and we’ve got out of that relatively unscathed. You’d imagine our 50 over team will now look something like this...

Cook
Chopra
Westley (C)
Patel/Khushi
Wheater
Pepper
Walter
Nijar
Siddle (overseas if allowed to play)
Cook
Porter

So after all the hype, where are the stars who would not already be playing as overseas players in the blast? No Indians, no South Africans like Rabada or de Kock. There are a few more Australians due to availability but they would have played blast anyway. Much ado about nothing.

At first I thought it strange that the draft featured so few of the players that helped Essex win the blast and that those who were drafted went for relatively low amounts.  Then I noticed that Liam
Livingstone went for 125k. :)

I think there will be replacements yes for the county players.  Each team will also get another player pick after the blast next summer called a wildcard pick.  Essex will just be playing 50 over cricket during it.

Apparently England Test players (we hope are selected ) are available for 3 out of 8 Hundred games plus the final if their team are finalists.

That's what struck me.

Smith is the only player I would get out of bed for.

Wasn't there some recent talk of some championship games being played whilst the new competition is on as well as 50 overs? Amazing how many kolpak/passport of convenience players are involved. Hardly a big payday for home grown players.

I did notice a few so called lesser home players eg Reece, Whiteley, Moores, Simpson got picked, I was amazes that Like Wright was the very last pick - thought he would have been snapped up a lot earlier.
