Fixtures 2019.
« on: January 22, 2019, 08:16:30 PM »
Any idea when ours will be published?

Yorkshire and Lancashire  had their 2019 fixtures on their websites last week.

Nothing on the ECB website so far, they released them on the 23rd January last year.

These 2nd XI matches are becoming more cloak and dagger every year, there is no dedicated link on the ECB website at all, just about every format does have a link, including the over 50's ! It does make you wonder whether they really want spectators present at all.

Have Yorks and Lancs jumped the gun publishing them, fixtures are usually embargoed until released by the appropriate League etc.

I suppose Essex will be the last to inform, nothing new there of course, will Halstead return this year I wonder?

I heard Halstead were offered an early season fixture last year that didn't work for their cricket week. I trust Coggeshall will be in the school holidays this year. If not my school teacher mate from the north east will only see the first team game at whitsun . In the days of Colchester and Southend festivals in August he was a member.

Lot of complaints among my sporting friends in Coggeshall about Coggeshall week. It’s during the school term. Just shows up the hypocrisy of the ECB; when it’s during school holidays we get dozens of boys and girls watching.

Any idea of the date for Coggeshall Mr Square. Daft to have it in term time.

Starts on July 15th.  Because it's been so much later recently, I'd booked a ten day holiday then.

Thanks Mr Square. That's knackered my mate who was originally from Coggeshall and now teaches at a special school in Newcastle. Must be the worst fixture list ever now!

Still no Second XI fixtures on the ECB website, are they late or are they deliberately not making them available I wonder?

Middlesex have now posted their fixtures, so why are we still waiting for ours?

Had an email from the cliub to say they've been having problems getting confirmation at some venues. Should be out in a day or so.

At last! Sadly Coggeshall Week confirmed as during term time. Why oh why cannot the ECB try to have games during school holidays?
