England Bottom Order

Looks like Jimmy Anderson will be unavailable for the forthcoming Fourth test . Time to try a left arm fast bowler, but would Reece Topley be available if selected has most appearances for Essex are now in one day format .

Unlikely England would turn to Toppers, I think. Mark Wood is the obvious Jimmy replacement, probably followed by Liam Plunkett. Maybe they'd also consider Chris Woakes, if he's deemed fit enough.

if they decided on a leftie. then Footit seems to be in pole position, but they'd also have Jack Brooks & David Willey to consider, or maybe even Harry Gurney on his home ground.

Topley hasn't played and has no form so no chance. Gurney is a one day player. I like a wood but think he needs a bit of experience before he will be a Test match bowler, he is ok as the third seamer behind Broad and Anderson not so sure I would like him with Finn in the side. Plunkett and Woakes are both just lacking for me in the Test arena, Woakes could only come in for Stokes I feel. I like Brooks but I feel that his level is a good county player, not sure he could step up. Wiley is also more suited to the one day format I feel although I think this could change with time. Footit I think could be the wild card to give a chance, he seems to have something about him. Is Jordan injured?

Basically I'm really not sure who to pick, Onions was always our back up to Anderson but he was playing for the Unicorns side against England u-19's today.

James Harris and Craig Overton are worth considering but the outstanding bowler of the season is Chris Rushworth of Durham, he has 64 wickets at 19.2

They won't go outside the ones that have been in the squads so it will probably be Wood I imagine Finn will open with Broad after all he was looking good till he started clipping the stumps and then lost it out in Oz.
