Annual Report and Finance.
« on: December 13, 2024, 08:06:55 PM »
The report sent out for the AGM shows a 750,000 loss ( as expected) but also confirms Graham Gooch resigned from the Cricket Committee on 24th June 2024, just a few days after we employed Bosch, which seems to confirm the rumour that the player was engaged without being  agreed by the Cricket Committee.

After the ?750k loss, sorry adjustment.

How long will Essex CCC last? I will say five years, even less, if they start a massive ground improvement.

Look over at the people in the buildings, from your seat at the River end. Do they look like the passengers in the 1st class lounge on the Titanic?

With the lack of money for new signings.

Is it a co-incidence that Keith Pont, visited for the first time in years.

The real reason that Graham Gooch, and Alistair Cook before him, left. Was to stop receiving unwanted gifts, from a Premier member who made them in his shed.

No, Andy, what appeared to be a wooden Faberg? egg. Which was meant to be a Cricket Ball.

Also, small tables for the Club. Which would be useful if you were making a Western film. They would fall to pieces, when smashed over someone's head, in the Saloon brawl scene.
