Admittedly Stokes got 4-40 on the final day which helped Eng clinch victory in the 1st Test but that wouldn't have been possible without Sam Curran's heroics previously to give Eng a chance of victory. It sends the message out that whatever Stoles gets up to off the field he will always play regardless which is harsh on whoever misses out (in this case Curran), I too hope Stokes doesn't do well as his conduct doesn't merit it.
